Steve Rico shot a blistering 13 under par this afternoon in the third round to cap three days of solid play.
Rico held off some stiff competition in the final as Dave Feldberg, Josh Anthon and Jason Herm all took a run at the Cup.
Congratulations to Carrie Berlogar for her first Master's Cup victory. After a heartbreaking playoff loss to Juliana Korver in last year's event, Burl showed the rest of Women's field how disc golf is done Santa Cruz style.
Tournament Director Marty Hapner was serenaded by a hundred disc golfers and fans from the Top of the World as the final 9 of the 2005 Master's Cup came to a close.

Josh Anthon hit an ace on hole 8 early to card a round low -8 and slid into second place after 2 rounds of the 2005 Master's Cup.

Thanks so much to the great Marty Hapner and brother Rob. The Master's Cup is always one of the years best and the renewed enthusiasm and increased participation in the DeLaveaga Disc Golf Club this year made it that much better.
It was a battle royale between Steve Lonhart and Matt Scott all weekend long. Today was really something to behold. Each going toe-to-toe for almost two-thirds of the last round until Lonhart broke away and never looked back.
